I recently had the absolute pleasure of shooting with one of Melbourne’s finest beauty photographers, Nick Dale.
I had adopted a keen following for Nick and his work, after searching #Frenchies on instagram, and discovering this very talented photographer also had an exquisite fine taste in dogs – and yes, I am very bias on pet preference. His pup Genki, is just as spoilt as Bronte, and almost as cute.
After putting out a casting call for photographers for collaboration, Nick offered me his services and I eagerly accepted his invitation. Nick just has a knack with the camera, and a fabulous asset to the Australian fashion industry. certainly one to keep an eye on! I had always wished to work with him, as I had seen plenty of his past collaborations and sat in awe of a few particular shots, which I have included for you. Like I said, talented!
One of them being my beautiful Make-up artist friend, Melissa Sassine, who just so happened to be down from Sydney for the day. Within 30 minutes, I had a full (and perfect) make-up application, and we were ready to shoot! Melissa is one of Sydney’s best bridal make-up artists, and certainly proved her skills that day. Since she was looking to expand her work into the fashion industry, she was so eager to be a part, and was a crucial element in our team.
My second element of success was our headpiece designer, Amy Oram from Teeki. Amy had always said to me, if I ever needed anything for my shoots, she would be more than happy to help, and she was. Amy went above and beyond, supplying all the head pieces for the shoot with ease. My favourite was the cat ears head piece, so cute! A simple post down to us in Melbourne, and the pieces were amazing. Amy is so creative and can supply headpieces for any occasion, and can even make custom designs. I had worked with Amy a few years ago, for a bridal shoot in Sydney, and we have stayed in touch ever since. Always professional and too friendly. Happy!
It is always a pleasure working with such a professional team. It really makes a difference. And it brings me joy to show you our collaboration. Enjoy!
